Pear Paste

A variety of Adelaide Hills grown pears and apples are used to create complexity in flavour by balancing the malic and citric acid in the fruit.

This recipe is slow cooked on low temperatures to retain the delicate and pretty flavours.

As with all our pastes, we only use natural pectin to set the product.

This results in a beautiful spreadable consistency and retains the fruits natural flavour.

Serving suggestion: The pear paste is the most delicate of the paste range and its pretty flavours match a vache curd, ricotta or balance out the robust flavour of a blue cheese or a beautifully aged, crumbly cheddar.
